It's within twenty minutes or less of Wausau and Stevens Point, Granite Peak Ski Area, Nine Mile Recreation area, Central Wisconsin Convention Center, Central Wisconsin Airport, University of Wisconsin Stevens Point, the Green Circle Trail, and just 2 miles from Lake DuBay. The property offers private wooded hiking trails along the Little Eau Claire river and plenty of wildlife viewing opportunities. Winter offers trails out the door for snowshoeing, cross country skiing (self groomed) on our 109 acre private property. Access is available to the Portage County snowmobile trail system. Summer evenings can be enjoyed right from the sun porch watching hummingbirds and our free ranging chickens. Although it's been nearly twenty years since the farm was used as a dairy farm, the barn, silo, and numerous outbuildings allow one to step back in time and imagine what life was once like on the farm. Today, acreage is used for traditional crop rotation and also a Christmas tree plantation supplying an onsite choose and cut retail farm. So, depending on the season, active farming, planting and harvesting may be witnessed. If bored, you might be asked to bale hay or shear a few hundred Christmas trees (ha ha). Rates are based on occupancy of six people but can accommodate twelve people (10 adults). Additional $15.00 charge per night/per guest. My place is the entire upstairs of a house. There is a bedroom with a queen size bed, a bathroom with shower, kitchen stocked with all the dishes you need for cooking, and an open concept dining area, living room, and work desk. The original wood work, exposed beams, brick chimney, and 2 sky lights, provide character and charm. It is totally separate from the lower level, so you will have a private entrance in the back of the house. You will also have an off street parking space included in your reservation. The location is quiet and safe, and only 2 blocks from Marathon Park and UW Stevens Point, Wausau Campus. It is half way between downtown Wausau and the highway, and a 10 minute drive to Rib Mountain State Park and Granite Peak Ski Hill.

This is a lake front cottage on Pike Lake in Hatley WI. The property has three bedrooms, two full bathrooms, and a full kitchen. There are two queen beds, a twin size bunk bed, and two full size futons. There is internet and cable so you can stay connected. The new lighted deck offers soft lighting for nightly conversation. The lake has good fishing and is perfect for water sports such as water skiing, jet skiing, kayaking, etc. There is also a 22 foot pontoon boat available for rent for $125/day plus gas or $800/week plus gas. Renters will need to bring their own life jackets to ensure proper fit. The safety and health of our guests has always been a top priority. Prior to guests arrival, the cottage is thoroughly cleaned with Lysol products. Cleaning procedures include wiping down all surfaces (countertops, appliances, furniture, light fixtures, door knobs, etc.), and complete bedding replacement (sheets, duet cover, comforter, mattress pad).
